Lace, Wookies and Dueling Banjos?

A big giant thanks to Chris from ChrisKnits for offering to donate an original pattern and yarn for a lace scarf as prizes for K.I.K.A.S.S.

Yes, we’ve named our battle.
Kelly Incites Kellie – Aran Shawl Showdown

MrsPao offered to make a button, so take a peek back here for that eventually.

And Chris, from Stumbling Over Chaos thinks that we should have dueling banjos as our theme music. How about Devil Went Down to Georgia instead? (Dammit… now that song is going to be stuck in my head all day.)

First Prize now consists of 2 balls of sock yarn and a lace scarf kit. Any other donations? (Yes I am shameless and I WILL continue to beg.)

Speaking of the shawl, I made some KIKASS progress last night. I finished 2 full repeats. My goal was 5, but then I admitted to myself that I really can’t finish an 86 stitch row of seed stitch in 3 minutes. Plus I needed to bathe, and shave. Because I was starting to resemble a Wookie. And no one likes that. Except Han Solo. Cause he’s freaky like that. (Anna, that was just for you.)

Tonight is my knitting night (hope to see you there K!!) and I’m quite excited. I haven’t gone in about a month, so I’m going to take my 2 finished shawls to show off. And hit the clearance rack. Yay to clearance yarn.

I know you were all wondering about this, so I’ll tell you now so you can get on with the rest of your day. YES, the Wolves are playing tonight. YES, they are playing all weekend. YES, I have tickets for Saturday and Sunday’s games.

I’ve been at work for 2 and a half hours and I haven’t done a damn thing. Wait… I opened the mail. There we go.

Oh oh, you're going to get a Deliverance-themed button now. Very scary. ;p

So all that basketball's going to help cut down your knitting time, like Peeve's going out of town will cut down hers...
