Bitchy McBitchersons

That’s me today. Even I’m amazed at the level of crankiness that I’ve reached.

Yes, the Temp is back. And WTF? She’s wearing jeans! Who wears jeans to work on a Monday? I can understand assuming that you’re allowed to do it on Friday (We’re not, they like us all spiffed up 5 days a week) but on Monday?

Thankfully she’s only working half a day. Then she’s gone. I told my boss I’d rather struggle to do it all myself then have to deal with her incompetence for the next 2 days.

Example: I had, this morning, about 40 rolls of drawings to package up. I couldn’t give them to her, the rolls were 17 pounds each and she’s… well… old. So I told her “Sit up front and answer phones. That’s all I want you to do. Ok? Good.”

So I’m in the back stuffing bags and the phone rings. And rings. And rings. Apparently she only wanted to pick up every other call or something. I dropped about 10 of those 17 pound rolls on my feet trying to juggle it and the phone at the same time. By the time I finished and got back to my desk there were 7 voicemails of missed calls, INCLUDING THE OWNER. Yeah, wonder who’ll take the blame for that one.

I get back to the front and she’s wandering around staring at people with her phone off the hook and a person on the line. Bear in mind, she isn’t some 90 year old invalid that shouldn’t be working. By all accounts she looks young/old and should be capable of answering the phone. I helped the poor abandoned person (and the 2 others who she’d put on eternal hold and forgot about) only to have her yell at me that I don’t know what I’m doing.

Now she's wandering around the office, talking on her cellphone. About how much work is being thrown at her. Wow.

Everyone is trying to be so cheerful with me and I keep trying my damndest to be my usual perky self, but I have a feeling by the end of today I will have snapped at someone. Oh wait… I already did that this morning when I was asked from my timecard 3 times in a 10 minute span.

On the plus side… hockey tomorrow night. On TV. It isn’t quite the same, but Dad and I still scream at the TV.

It’s nearly 1… why is the Temp still here? Why is she going to lunch instead of going HOME?

Grrrrrrrr........

Oh dear, yes, why on earth ARE they paying for her? What the hell is she doing? Sorry, I can't be of any help today. Monkey is home sick...another unpaid day off. Screw being cheerful today, let's just be bitchy.ht

I'm with Peevish - perky isn't the answer - does this bitch know you own needles?

What was it you were telling us about those nature reserves you have around there. Something about being good for dumping bodies?

Hmm - can't you put cyanide in her coffee?
