Son Of A *BEEEEEEP*

I called school to check on my housing and to ask what happens if they run out of space and was told that there's a 99% probability that, even though I requested a private room, I'll be in a shared bedroom in an apartment. I'm very sad now.

What if my roommate is stinky?
What if she touches my stuff?
What if she's a pain in the ass?
What if she TANGLES MY YARN?!?!?!

I'll be turning 25 during the fall semester... I'm too old to be sharing a bunkbed with some 19yr old.

Don't sweat it, hun, I'm sure the housing thing will work out...

And if by some fluke you do get a roommate, I think you'll be able to handle anything she can throw your way...

In fact I think you might be the one teaching her a thing or two... ;)

You'll be ok! I'm sure that they will match you with someone of a similar age. Fingers crossed for a cancellation though.

(Just look on the bright side - your room savings could be spent on yarn....)

Stinky stuff touching pain in the ass yarn tanglers are few and far between. I think you'll be ok.

Ooooh, the perils of having a flatmate! Just set out a few non-yarn-touching groundrules and you'll be fine!

Dude, you are going to be fine. Just think, you might be getting put there to help some poor 18 - 19 year old find "herself" and understand stuff going on for her.

You'll be fine. Set the ground rules and go for it.

What if she's a knitter and brings pretty yarn with her that she lets you fondle????

Bring extra needles and teach her to knit. I am telling you, this could be a good thing. Picture this, you get to share your room with "daddy's little rich girl". You teach her to knit and she goes out and buys a ton of awesome fiber, directed by you of course, after a while she loses interest in knitting due to her class load and ends up giving her expensive stash to you. Woo Hoo! Hey, it could happen.

You're going to be fine.

Deep breaths! I'd say don't think about it until the verdict is in, but...
