Time Warp
Do you all remember this teeny cutie pie:
Well two weekends ago, before the roommates showed up, she and her mom came down to spend the weekend with me. I can honestly say now that it was quieter with a 2 yr old than it has been with the new roommates. But seriously... how cute is she?
I didn't even prompt her to take on this fantastic Ray Charles-esque pose. That's natural comedic talent.
Post Ho-Ho face. Note the napkin. She is a very tidy toddler. Take a bite, wipe the face. Then abandon the plate and run off to play until mom threatens to "eat" her food. Then she runs back, giggling, and "steals" back the bite.
We went to the St. Louis Zoo to visit all the animals while they were here. I'd ask her if she wanted to go see something else and she's sort of gasp "Oh yeah!" before hurrying off towards her next big adventure.
And just in case you were wondering, her favorite animal at the zoo?
The train.

Society of Shoppers
I saw these two products this weekend and they both struck me as so... stupid. I had to share.
First off, we have Olay Filling and Sealing Wrinkle Treatment.
Now, call me crazy but... isn't this the same thing as spackle?
Seriously, have we gotten that vain that rather than have a few wrinkles women are willing to spackle their faces? I wonder if it comes with a little pink piece of sandpaper so that you can smooth out the finished product.
And then we have these:
Jelly Belly Sport Beans. Choke full of vitamins, electrolytes and even available in caffeinated flavors.
Because while I'm at the gym, working off the day's indulgences, I sit and think to myself "I want a jellybean. But not just any jellybean. I want a healthy, sporty jellybean."
People... if you don't want your money you can give it to me.

Just What My Self-Esteem Needed
I'm cleaning the bathroom, being tidy and all domestic and I crouch down to get the glass cleaner.
RIIIIIIIIP!!
Split my pants from ass to knee.
Pass the celery please...

It's So Lovely Out!
So after finishing my reading for the day (100 pgs) I decided to go for a walk to check the mail, as I'm expecting a few magazines.
I put on a hoodie and began the walk. About halfway there a few stray raindrops began to fall. When I got back to the apartment I looked like this:

What you can't see is that my jeans were soaked completely. The wind was blowing the rain directly into my face.
Damn I look chunky in that picture... No wonder I've been going to the gym almost every day.

Just Popped Right Out
So there I was, sitting in my Word Roots: Green and Latin Suffixes class. As you might have guessed from the name... it's not the most exciting of subjects. Class involves going over the homework, one question at a time.
But that doesn't mean we don't have fun. My teacher is a master of puns and really bad jokes. And best of all, he tells these horrible jokes in such a captivating way that we're all leaning forward in our desks, both eager for and dreading the pun-tastic punchline.
Anyways, in class we were going over the homework and we came to a rather long word with 5 different parts to be divided up. And he counted out loud. "Look at this word. Look at how many parts it has. One. Two. Three. Four. Five."
And that's when I channeled my inner Count and responded with "Ha..ha...ha..."
The class lost it for a good 5-10 minutes while our poor prof looked so confused. I guess Sesame Street is after his time.
