And They're Off!

Or at least one of them is.

Yeah… so Peevish is totally kicking my ass in the race thus far. Check out her blog for great pictures of her progress. I’d show you mine, but who really wants to see 3 rows of seed stitch?

I have a defense. I was in class last night. School is important. (We won’t bother discussing how class let out over an hour early and I went home and fiddled with my computer rather than focusing on my knitting.)

But tonight… Tonight that all will change. You see, Wednesdays are Ghost Hunters night on Sci Fi channel. I love all things ghost related and this show is one of the best that I’ve ever seen about hauntings. Because they’re so scientific. And even if every single one of them have “experiences” they still depend on the PROOF, on the data they collect to provide the real answers. No cheesy psychics and Ouija boards here. And, bonus! I just peeked at their web site and the whole first season has been put on DVD. Yeah baybee! (Happy Kelly Dance time! *shimmy wiggle shimmy*) Guess I won’t be stopping at Best Buy just for Goblet of Fire tonight.

I admit it. I have a problem. I am addicted to KnitPicks.com. I just put in another order on their site. Admittedly, I had a real reason this time. I ordered the yarn for my mom’s shawl and now I’m worried that I didn’t order enough. So I needed to get 3 more balls. But of course I couldn’t just order 3 balls of yarn! I mean come on! What a waste of money to not spend the $40 and get free shipping. So I ordered lots of wool for a felted bag, a pattern for a lace shawl, some lace weight yarn, and 2 balls of sock yarn to make my iPod some neat little cases. Anyone know of some good patterns?

Hehe - those free shipping things are the clincher :) I can resist....

I've ordered a lot of yarn recently and the postman is getting fed up with me asking if it has arrived yet.

No, but I do know of a 12 step program!! You nut. I will be happy to donate a prize to the challenge. How about a copy of a lace scarf pattern, my own adaptation, and some yarn from Knit Picks to knit it up. Let me know where to send it.
