*Bounce Bounce Bounce*

*bounce bounce bounce* Guess what! Guess what! Go ahead! Guess!!

Nope, you’re wrong!

I just bought yarn! *bounce bounce bounce* Yarn to knit a sweater with!

Ok… I’m calm. *bounce* That was the last one, I promise. *bounce*

So what sweater, I know you’re just DYING to know.

Kyoto from knitty.com. I saw a picture of someone’s finished sweater and thought it was just too cute. During lunch I hopped on over to the LYS and poof! Right there, they had the yarn I wanted. I debated for a while about colors. Originally I had thought “Navy blue top, with a pale blue bottom” but alas, they had no navy blue and only 1 skein of the pale blue that I liked. But this groovy green kept catching my eye the whole time I was looking. Finally I settled on this:

The green will be the sleeves and stripes,

the beige will be the bottom. I can’t wait to get home and start swatching!

In other knitting news, I think my mom is a little impatient to get her shawl. Why do you say that? Well here’s a transcript from a few e-mails we sent to eachother today:

Me: Without commenting on the as yet, though close to being done, unfinished shawl I’m making for you, how would you feel about a triangle shawl in pinks and yellows?

Mom: Let me think......would I like a triangle shawl? Hmmmmmm YES I WOULD LIKE A SHAWL. ROUND, TRIANGLE, SQUARE, PURPLE, ORANGE, PAISLEY......I DON'T CARE! I JUST WANT A SHAWL!!!!

Me: So what you’re saying is… you’d like a shawl sometime this century?

Mom: Yes please.

She's slightly impatient? LOL!
Good luck on the sweater. I can't wait to see your progress.

Does this mean we -- I mean you -- aren't going to start Rogue right away? I was looking forward to -- I mean watching someone else -- doing it again. I guess this one's OK too.

Your mom is so restrained. That's what I really like about her. :)

Cool about the yarn purchase!!

And - you seriously rock. I'm home now, glass of wine on hand, and Chaos has grooved on Red Tuna. (Grey Tuna hidden in draw for when Red Tuna tragically lost...) I toast you!

Oh wow! LOVE the Kyoto. If I were your mum, I'd be impatient too - triangle shawl sounds yummy.
