Weird Week

It's been a weird week people. Just odd...

I've become completely consumed with knitting. Just utterly consumed with it. Now normally I enjoy knitting a bit here or there, to relax and keep my hands moving, but this past week I swear I was posessed. Both my arms positively ache from all the knitting I've done.

I finished my mom's shawl. (Finally. Pictures to follow.)
Made a scarf

Nearly finished the matching hat

Started a baby blanket for Zoe and finished a repeat and a half of the pattern

Started an afghan

Knit up 7 more Tiny Tunas

And I still want to be knitting. My hands are really sore, I don't know what the hell is up with me all the sudden.

In addition to the knitting weirdness, my week was rather oddly broken up on Thursday. My father called me from Iowa, where he and my mom were taking a 3 day vacation at a casino on a reservation. My mom had pneumonia but went anyways, because the doctor had given her more antibiotics and she thought she was going to feel better. Apparently she didn't because Thursday morning dad called to ask if I would make the 5 hour drive out there to pick them up and bring them home. So I left work, grabbed a book on CD and headed out there.

The sky was really pretty during the drive out there. (But taking a picture on the highway while going 70 is not something I would suggest. Just because I'm stupid enough to do it doesn't mean you should be.)

By the time we were heading back home the sky looked a little different.

It was way late by the time I got home.

I called out of work on Friday because I didn't think my brain would really be able to function after 12 hours in a car. I called my boss and left a voicemail somewhere around midnight. But when I called Friday night to answer a voicemail from a coworker I found out that he never got the message. So they thought I just decided to not show up for work. My boss is off tomorrow so come Tuesday I'm going to have to talk to him. Last thing I want anyone to think is that I would just not show up for work.

Here's hoping for a quieter week.

Oh yeah, one more thing... Wolves won their first game 5-0!!!!
