Post-Christmas Knitting Slump

I finished everything that I needed to knit for the holidays and now… now I’m in a slump. I’ve been knitting with pressing deadlines for so long that I’ve kinda forgotten what’s it’s like to have leisurely knitting to do.

I think it’s mostly due to the sudden overwhelming amount of inspiration.

Here’s a review of what Santa and other’s brought me:

I’m so loved.

I did knit something last night, but it turned out wrong so I have to start all over again. I don’t know how I managed to convince myself that it was ok long enough to embroider and stuff the damned thing. Very disappointing, makes me sad.

In other news, I have the personality of a tiger shark today.

(BTW, my comments are acting up and they’re not letting me e-mail anyone so if I don’t respond to your comment it’s not because I don’t love you anymore. It’s because blogger doesn’t love me.)

Hmm, maybe that's a new Blogger feature..... I got One-Skein Wonders, too! It has some really cute projects, doesn't it? And I bought VLT for myself.

Knitting denial is powerful - we ALL do it. :)

If you aren't knitting then looking at patterns of dreaming of the things you'll knit is the next best thing. Santa must like you a lot.

I've knit quite of few crap things. I think the actual knitting process allows you to think that the project will look fantastic one it's finished, blocked, and stitched together. Unfortunately while blocking does work wonders it can't fix everything.
