Choo-Choo!

All aboard Kelly’s train of thought.

I got a letter from school last week. I got approved for loans for school. I’m really going away. This is really happening. I guess I was so ready to be rejected; I’d prepared myself for that emotional blow so well that this caught me totally off guard. I still haven’t quite processed it. I’m still waiting for them to call me and yell “Gotcha! HAHAHA she thought she actually was going to be allowed back to school, HAHAHAHA!” Which is probably why when I found out I wrote out a blog post and then deleted it. Or why I haven’t e-mailed the teacher who had the biggest affect on my education to tell her. It would be too painful to retract it. Too painful to go back and say “Wait, no, sorry, false alarm. I’m not going to school. I’m stuck where I am.” (Wow, that made me cry a little to even consider it)

I’m going back to college in August.

122 days…

I’m scared.

Why does everyone feel the need to take their Monday crankiness out on receptionists? It isn’t MY fault that the person you want to talk to isn’t in yet. It isn’t MY fault that Joe’s been in the phone for the last hour and a half. And if I have to tell AT&T that we aren’t interested in their exciting new long distance offer ONE MORE TIME I will be convicted of a violent crime.

Poor Voldemort is still naked. Maybe tonight I’ll sit down and sew him some nice wizard’s robes. (Did I mention I bought a sewing machine last week on a whim?) Kari suggested putting him in a froofy pink dress, but I can’t do that to him. I’ve got the whole rest of his woolly adventures planned out (3 more little ‘parts’) but I have to dress him and take the pictures to go with them.

I need to stop signing up for Harry Potter knitting things. I really do. I already have a pair of socks, a sock kit bag and another item to make for different swaps.

Pursuant to my returning to school (check out Kelly with the $10 words!) I’ve decided to do a second round of NoTVNovember and focus on reading. Except that it doesn’t really flow as well with May. Any ideas for a slogan? Ice cream and puppy dogs to the person who thinks up a good one. (Kittens may be substituted.) Make me a button to go with your slogan and you’ll be my official Nice Gal Of The Week.

I finished two more books this weekend.

Cast Off – (do I really have to tell you who wrote this?)

It was adorable. A totally original idea and written in a great and interesting way. Loved it.

The Quotable Slayer

This is exactly what it sounds like, a book of quotes from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Very cute. Very fun. A little scary how many of them I read and knew which episode it came from.

Thank you for riding Kelly’s train of thought. Please remember to take all personal items and trash with you as you leave.

If you have pay TV, then you can say noPAYMay. Or try 'May's for books, TV's up on hooks' (put away like a coat?)

I have come across your blog and I've got to say, I've never met you, but I like you alot! Haha. I just got my foot back in school as well and I had some reservations about being excited. But all is well, and I know you're excited.

And about your post below, where do you find these sock swaps, kal, etc? I love Harry Potter, and a Harry Potter sock swap sounds so cool. Do you have to have a blogspot? I don't have one, but have been considering opening up one for "me stuff".

Let me tell you, shannon, when you do get to meet her, you like her even more!

Congrats, again, sweetie, and enjoy the whole process, even though it can get insane sometimes!
