Drip, Sneeze, Cough, Wheeze

I felt perfectly fine when I woke up this morning, but I seem to have developed a cold on my drive to work. I don’t feel sick, but I’m leaking and my ears are all itchy (always a sign of an impending cold for me) and I’m very glad that I bought Kleenex and brought a box to work so I don’t have to use the sandpaper-ish stuff they buy for us.

In other news… Wolves are 3-1 in the series and they play again tomorrow night. We slaughtered the Iowa Stars last night, 6-1. They’re really playing beautifully and I’m starting to think that maybe they CAN make it all the way to the championships.

In knitting related news – A co-worker of mine just adopted a little girl. He didn’t tell anyone he was doing this before Monday, when she was born. This weekend I think I need to knit a pair of booties for her. I also need to finish the garter stitch blanket of doom for a woman at my dad’s work who is pregnant. The baby shower is Monday, so I’ve got 4 days to finish it. No pressure.

I think my swap pal’s sock is too big, but I can’t bear the idea of frogging it again. I’m going to finish the heel, then measure, then probably weep as I frog it.

I finally got that eBay item I’ve been waiting on. I won it on the 25th. Paid on the 25th. It was shipped… on the 3rd. Over a week later. I’m still debating what feedback to leave the guy. Especially since he lied when I asked him (for the 3rd time) when my package had been shipped out.

Oh yeah, this Saturday is Kari’s 22nd birthday!! I’m taking her for the weekend and we’ll be doing lots of fun stuff. Look for a special birthday post on Sunday or Monday.
