My first night without TV was restless and entirely unproductive. I roamed around the house, groaning about being bored, reading a few chapters of a book, flipping through my many knitting patterns, looking at my many UFOs and not doing anything. It wasn't until around 9:30 that I finally settled down to something productive.
Day 2 went much better. I called my grandparents and had a very nice conversation with them both, did my homework and then finished the book I'd started the night before.
Tomorrow is going to be interesting, as I'm done with school at 2, which gives me much more than a few short hours to occupy.

100 Day Challenge
This past Sunday I had a revelation while watching Spongebob.
I watch too much TV.
So today, during the walk from campus to work, I decided to embark on a challenge similar to No TV November. Except I wanted to raise the stakes.
Thus the 100 Day Challenge was born. 100 days without TV. Starting today.
My mom is joining in on the challenge. You can follow her progress on her blog. I'm sure she'd be appreciative of any supportive comments you care to give.
My goal for the challenge is to see how productive I can be when I'm not entirely enslaved to the idiot box. I'm rather amused that the challenge ends on Nov. 5th, Guy Fawkes Day.
