I’ll Take Multi-Legged Beasties for $600 Alex….

Now we all know, because I’ve certainly said it enough times, that I’m no chipper, perky, bubbly, human person in the mornings. Nope… just doesn’t happen. Admittedly it has improved since I started my non-Pepsi regime, but I’m still no Morning Glory. So while I was putting on my make-up and I saw this on the bathroom wall…

I’m just not used to moving that fast in the morning. I shot out of that bathroom like my ass had caught fire. Grabbed my boot and, well… imagine a squish and a crunch. Yup… it was nasty. I’ve still got the heebie jeebies.

Weirdest thing is… I was bloghopping yesterday at ended up on someone’s blog who had seen one in their bathroom as well. It’s a conspiracy!

Now for more important things. Chris from ChrisKnits is collecting 6x6 acrylic squares for her local humane society to make cage liners. Here’s the recipe:

Size 11s (13s)
Double strand of worsted weight (bulky weight) yarn
CO 20 (13)st.
Knit 34 (21) rows
BO
Repeat!

Too busy you say? Don’t have the time? That’s fine… I’m sure they’ll understand…

They’re used to being disappointed.

I just posted about Chris' project, too! I'm working away on an entire cage liner.

Heh, did you read my story in V's comments about the horrible bug?

Ack! We had one of those in our living room the other day. I'm not usually squeamish about bugs, but I made my husband get rid of it. Too many legs!

Aww, so not fair, playing the guilt card like that. Now I'll have to copy the pattern and figure some time in to make one!

Those bugs like moisture, so they come up thru the drains. I take small margarine tubs (empty) and fill it with water and set it over the drain so they can't come thru in the shower. They like basement drains too. I HATE those creepy crawlers!!

EKK! The critter up top is scary, but I love the other little critters. I will have to knit up some squares.

Those doggy and kitty eyes are too beguiling. I'm going to have to knit quickly and get them posted!

The picture of "multi legs" cracks me up - I can always tell the change of seasons here in Chicago when the appear in the bathroom, or the kitchen, or the bedroom, or the living room...
